QOTA Singer Kicks Photographer In the Face
Professional photographer Chelsea Lauren spent the night in the hospital after Queens of the Stone Age singer Josh Homme kicked her in the face during a concert. In the video of the incident, you can see Homme walk past her, and then double back in order to kick her camera out of her hand. The camera was up to her face at the time, and it caused damage to her eyebrow, and she is suffering from nausea. She was released from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Sunday morning. Let’s hope that there is no permanent damage and her nausea goes away.
The concert was a KROQ gala that featured bands such as Muse (yawn) and Thirty Seconds to Mars (he’s a great actor, not a good rockstar). People have encouraged Ms. Lauren to press charges against Homme. She said that she was going to file a police report on Sunday. It doesn’t surprise me that Mr. Homme did this to her. He’s not the nicest of guys.
The photographer said, ““I feel like if I don’t do anything, he gets to kick people in the face and not get in trouble because he’s a musician. That’s not right.”
It is, no doubt, a real douchebag move. Concertgoers and witnesses are wondering if the singer was under the influence of drugs or booze during the band’s performance. To me, that doesn’t matter. The only thing that matters is that he blatantly kicked her. He is claiming that he accidentally kicked her as he was in the throes of performing. Yeah, sure.
