Atari Partnered With Producer Scott Sternberg to Create Million Dollar Pong
Scott Sternberg, who has worked on other game shows such as Hollywood Squares and Love Connection, has made a deal with video game company Atari to create a game show called Million Dollar Pong. Of course, they’re going to do more on the show than simply play Pong in order to get people to watch it. There aren’t that many people who would want to watch people play a video game from 1972.
Mr. Sternberg told variety.com, “Pong is a cultural touchpoint for generations of people. It’s not often we get the chance to develop a game show concept around such an iconic brand. I can’t wait to give people the chance to see, experience, and play a brand new Pong.”
No Network Connected To Show Yet
If anybody knows what TV network will be the home to Million Dollar Pong, they haven’t let the public at large know about it. No premiere date has been given, either. Not even a ballpark guess. The CEO of Atari said, “We are proud to team-up with Scott and have him join our brand because his expertise will help create a truly remarkable television show for everyone to enjoy.”
We tried to reach out to King Kong to get his reaction to this news, but he is still busy playing “ping-pong with his ding-dong in Hong Kong” according to his former friends and associates.
