Woman Woke Up With British Accent, And She Still Has It A Week Later
Bloody hell. Don’t you just hate it when you wake up with a wacky accent? Madonna would’ve loved having this medical rarity happen to her. Remember when she started dating that British guy and by the end of the first date she had an accent? She’s such a faker and fibber, but, doctors say that an Arizona who woke up with a British accent isn’t a faker. She has been diagnosed with Foreign Accent Syndrome.
Myers also has Ehlers-Danos syndrome that causes bruising and pain in her bones and joints along with rupturing blood vessels. She said, “Some people think it’s physiological; others think it’s psychological. People like me – we don’t care which one it is. We just really want to be taken seriously and if it is something that’s going to hurt me, help me.”
Michelle Myers, a mom of seven who lives in Buckeye, Arizona, has been stricken by this syndrome three times over the past seven years. She said she went to sleep with a terrible and woke up with the British accent. The first two times this happened to her, she woke up with an Australian accent and an Irish accent. Foreign Accent Syndrome is often accompanied by a stroke, neurological damage, or other medical conditions.
